Each marker is filled with a water-based acrylic paint formula rather than standard ink, so colour sits vividly and opaquely on the surface rather than soaking in. The range spans three tip sizes: the 2mm fine tip for detail work, lettering and outlining; the 8mm broad tip for general-purpose colour and everyday mark-making; and the 15mm chisel tip for bold background fills and large-scale work.
Liquitex Paint Markers work across an unusually wide range of surfaces, including canvas, wood, glass, metal, ceramic, plastic, fabric, paper and stone. The formula is fast-drying and, once cured, becomes long-lasting and permanent on porous surfaces such as wood, textiles and paper with no sealant required; a sealant or fixative is recommended for durability on non-porous surfaces like glass, metal or ceramic.
The 2mm tip is available in up to 58 colours, including a full metallic range, while the 8mm and 15mm tips come in 16 bold colours each.
